Don’t do it halfway!

We have now officially ended the third week of our six-week 2021 Stay-Cation Games. Regardless of what your selected activity or activities are, now is a good time to remember: “Whatever you do, don’t do it halfway.”

For me personally, It has been a great combination of hot weather cycling and cool morning meditation. We haven't had many photos from you in your adventures, so I pulled one from last year with my bicycle and my mascot Lewis. If you have any photos that tell a story of your week, please send them to: murdawg1353@gmail.com

Jackie Robinson once said, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” We are reminded to reflect on the difficult times currently facing our friends in Guatemala, and how our efforts can provide valuable support and dignity to the members of the communities that we serve – and, in return, we will also be enriched through the blessings of each person we encounter.

The upcoming week of the Stay-Cation Games promises to provide participants with special challenges (and not just due to the Scavenger Hunt). Those who are into the Downward Facing Dog, Warrior and Cobra poses will, by default, be doing hot yoga. In fact, if you are walking, running, singing or dancing (or whatever), remember to respect the heat wave that will be upon us. For reference, the forecasted high over the next seven days in Sololá, Guatemala is a comfortable 21 degrees.

Week #4 Stay-Cation Games Scavenger Hunt - The Theme of the Week is “Nature”

Boy, the past week went fast for me. How did it go for you? Did you get caught up on the local gossip with your neighbours and others? If you didn’t complete last week’s list, feel free to continue working on it if you like.  Don’t worry if you don’t complete this, it is just for fun.

We have more fun things for you to do this week. All photos and stories of your adventures can be sent to murdawg1353@gmail.com.  We can include them in next week’s blog.

Here are this week’s Scavenger Hunt challenges for “Nature” below. Get out and explore.
